Possible Projects for OJTs
The summer season is fast approaching and OJTs will be knocking at companies’ doors once more. Now what interesting projects can we give them? After some chats and discussions, Here is a short list of possible projects:
- Nutch-based Crawler that aims to know what people linking to you are talking about. Wouldn’t it be nice to know what people linking to you are talking about?
- Improved User Agent Profiling of Mobile Phones. The provide mobile phone users with the appropriate media based on the profiling results. Most users have a hard time knowing what their phone is. Manufacturers do not even put the model numbers in the handset itself.
- Customized RSS feeds for Specialist Sites that only want certain information. Instead of a one size fits all feed, this is useful for sites with a lot of diverse content and communities.
There are still more ideas. Now to look for OJTs who can do it in one summer.
