US Location-based Services Statistics
The Mobile Technology Blog has a write-up about some new US LBS statistics.
In-Stat has forecast US mobile location-based services to rise to 1.1 million subscribers by 2010, up from over 580,000 at present.
Unfortunately, I can’t access the In-stat link. So, the statistic above is all I have. Anyway, I believe this number should be higher since US E911 regulation requires providers to have some form of LBS system in place. Therefore, celcos have already invested in this infrastructure.
