Tropical Storm Milenyo Makes Metro Manila Bow
Here are some shots taken from my trusty Sony Ericsson k608i cameraphone on Friday, Sep 29 2006, the day after Tropical Storm Milenyo hit Metro Manila. These pictures track the foot route I take going to the office every day. The clear theme of it all is falled trees and leaves all over the place. I could have gotten more pictures if it were not for that fact that the k608i does not have expandable memory
and my laptop had no more battery power.

Here is the shot of the trees along a high end condominium building in Makati City bowing to Milenyo.

Here is a shot of a tree uprooted along Villar cor Alfaro Streets also in Makati City.
The rest of my pictures can be found in my Flickr account under the Milenyo tag. I was planning to get pictures of the shattered glass windows of my office but it was not opened yet. So I have to seek refuge at the nearby Starbucks Chinabank branch. Maybe if I get in early enough later, I can hopefully take a few shots before our efficient maintenance crew cleans it up.
Update: I was able to get to the office early enough to grab a few shots of the devastation.

Fortunately, all core IT services were available. At least, we can claim to customers we are sufficiently disaster ready. The only major destruction was the outer glass windows and the office of our President.
