Chinese Family Name

Here are my futile attempts at using GIMP to create different version of my Chinese family name (杨 or 楊 or yang2). I tried a number of variation while trying to use the Chinese Gold as the primary color. But being artistically challenged, I am not sure these actually look good.

    the top two version is good for me

    the tint of green gave the first two some character and it was softened to make the edge more natural.
