Latest FFmpeg RPMs for Fedora Core 6 (FC6) Released

I am not sure where I posted my previous links to the ffmpeg RPMs I built for Linux. But, here are the latest ones. I decided to build them at home when I noticed that the current revision number in the SVN repository is already about 500 revisions behind my copy. I created these copies because I wanted as many multimedia formats supported (including 3gpp, amr and some other mobile formats) as I could compile in.

Just a few words of warning. I use GPL codecs here so I don’t suggest you link your programs to this release. I simply use this to convert video and audio files from one format to another. I am currently in the process of building one for CentOS4 or RedHat Enterprise Linux 4 (EL4). I have built one for myself already but it required an additional patch to build on the x86_64 architecture which I currently have. I am finding a nice way of integrating it into the RPM without having to maintain two separate RPMs for 386 and x86_64. Good luck!

Actually, it has been with me for quite sometime already. Just wasn’t able to package it properly.
